The Baldwin Varsity hockey lost their undefeated title after a hard fought battle with the West Allegheny Indians. The Fighting Highlanders even outshot the Indians 46 to 35. Junior Keith Reed scored an unassisted goal in the first followed by a second goal from Sophomore Trevor Belak assisted by Robbie Aranos to make it 2-1 Baldwin at the end of the first period. Going into the ice cut, Baldwin still had the lead after a goal from Senior Justin Pollard with assists from Sophomores Dom Trimbur and Trevor Belak to make it 3-2. Unfortunately, in the third period, the Indians tied it up and then scored with 2:20 left. Baldwin pulled goalie Senior Tanner Cindrich to try to even it up in regulation, but they ran out of time. The final score was 4-3. Our next game is Monday, February 17, 2020 at 9:15P against Montour at RMU Island Sports Complex.
